RMS Titanic app for iPhone and iPad

RMS Titanic was a British passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean in the early morning hours of April 15, 1912, after striking an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City. Of the estimated 2224 passengers and crew aboard, more than 1500 died, making the sinking one of modern historys deadliest peacetime commercial marine disasters.

Dataset about RMS Titanic passenger survival rates is available in the public domain.This app uses machine learning to predict whether a passenger would survive based on features in the data. A model is fitted (trained) on a training dataset and then evaluated on an out-of-sample testing dataset.

The data is prepared using Pythons pandas and NumPy libraries. The median of the age training dataset is used for missing age entries. Apples machine learning toolset Create ML is used to create a Boosted Tree Regression model to integrate it into the app.
